Max Rose
Senior Advisor
Max Rose served as the Senior Covid Advisor to the Secretary of Defense and prior to that, as the U.S. Representative for New York’s 11th congressional district. He commissioned in the United States Army as an Infantry Officer and still serves in the Army Reserve. As Senior Advisor to the Secretary of Defense, Max served as the principal DOD COVID response coordinator and as the Executive Secretariat of the COVID Task Force, led by the Deputy Secretary of Defense and Vice Chairman of the Joint Chiefs. Max was awarded the Secretary of Defense Medal for Outstanding Public Service for his work, the second highest award the Secretary can award to non-civil service employees. As Congressman, Rose served as the Chairman of the Homeland Security Subcommittee on Intelligence and Counter-terrorism and as a member of the Veterans Affairs Committee. A leader in the fight against domestic terrorism as well as the Opiod Epidemic, Rose successfully led efforts to expand the Foreign Terrorist Organization Designation List, establish the Global Internet Forum to counter terrorism, and combat the flow of illicit fentanyl into the United States. Prior to his election, Max Rose served as Chief of Staff at Brightpoint Health, one of the largest New York City federally qualified health centers, as well as a special assistant and Director of Public Engagement for Brooklyn District Attorney Kenneth P. Thompson.. Max's military service includes a combat deployment to Afghanistan as a Stryker Platoon Leader. His decorations include the Ranger Tab, the Combat Infantryman Badge, Bronze star, and Purple Heart. Rose graduated from Wesleyan University with a bachelor’s degree in History and earned a Masters of Social Science in Philosophy from the London School of Economics. He is a frequent contributor to all major networks and his comments have been featured in prominent national and international publications.
